Uttar pradesh
India’s most populous state, home to over 230-million and counting, if Uttar Pradesh were a country it would be the fifth largest in the world, overtaking Brazil. It’s no surprise, therefore, that UP boasts some of India’s most impressive attractions. From the ancient city of Varanasi, the historically significant Lucknow, the site of The Indian Rebellion of 1857 in Meerut, and of course, that Wonder of the World, The Taj Mahal. Though it’s not all ancient history. Wildlife enthusiasts will be pleased to find out that it is one of the few places that the endangered Indian rhino can be spotted, in Dudhwa National Park. For the coolest temperatures, visit between October and March.
