Munnar

Located amidst India’s Western Ghats, an area of incredible biodiversity and a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, Munnar’s misty hills support a diverse ecosystem as well as one of the country’s most flourishing tea industries. Excellently located for travelling on to the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve or Periyar National Park, home to tigers, sambar deer, and the Indian bison or guar, whose gargantuan proportions have to be seen to be believed. Enjoying a temperate climate throughout the year, with the best weather between November and February. Avoid the monsoon, between June and September, when things can get very, very wet.
