Khajuraho

Home to the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famed for their erotic carvings and nagara-style symbolism. Its millennia-old Jain temples display some of the best examples of temple art in the world, yet, despite this, it remains a quiet little town, pleasantly explored on foot. Excellently placed for exploring the nearby Panna Tiger Reserve which is just over 30 minutes drive west. Khajuraho is best visited between the months of October and March.
